Jardin Wine Estate, a family-owned winery in Stellenbosch, South Africa, at the heart of the Cape Winelands, has become one of the country’s leading estates. The estate offers breathtaking views of Table Mountain, False Bay, and the Stellenbosch Mountains. 

Since 1993, Gary and Kathy Jordan have crafted world-class wines on a property with over 300 years of history. In 1982, Gary’s parents, Ted and Sheelagh, purchased the 164-hectare estate and initiated an extensive replanting program, focusing on classic varieties suited to the diverse soils and slopes.

The vineyards benefit from their proximity to both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, with coastal fog and cool breezes enhancing their growth. A mild Mediterranean climate, influenced by the nearby seas, reduces the risk of frost, while soils range from deep clay-loam to gravelly and sandy duplex types on clay. Jardin’s philosophy blends these natural advantages with innovative management to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir.

The state-of-the-art cellar is designed for efficiency, featuring a gravity flow system and natural cooling through its recessed position in the mountainside. It provides an ideal environment for turning exceptional fruit into world-class wine.
